Vaudois Wines

The Château d’Éclépens Estate is located in the Côtes de l’Orbe appellation, in the canton of Vaud. It is the only wine estate situated between Éclépens and La Sarraz, at the foot of Mormont and along the Via Francigena. This privileged location offers an exceptional terroir, ideal for viticulture and the production of wines of character.

Côtes de l’Orbe

Halfway between Lake Geneva and Lake Neuchâtel, the Côtes-de-l’Orbe vineyard spans about twenty municipalities, from La Sarraz to the gates of Yverdon-les-Bains. Molasse, limestone, and clay enrich the diversity of its terroirs. The vines are most often south-facing, and the dry climate prevailing in the Côtes-de-l’Orbe is ideal for growing red grape varieties, which represent 75% of the vineyard.
